SECURE-CS LTT-3 (North Macedonia): Call for Participants
As ANKA Future and Innovation Association, we are part of an international partnership working to help civil society organisations operate more safely, visibly and effectively in the digital world. Supported by the Turkish National Agency and the European Commission, the KA220-YOU project “Civil Society Initiatives Strengthened with Information and Data Security” is a comprehensive cooperation programme designed to build the capacity needed in this area.
Coordinated by SETA, the project is implemented with contributions from partner organisations in North Macedonia, Norway, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Belgium. ANKA is among its active implementing organisations in Türkiye, contributing directly to training on digital skills, safe internet use, online collaboration and digital transformation.
Digital transformation and data security have become essential to the sustainable operation of civil society organisations. We see support for NGO staff in safe internet use, collaborative work with digital tools, content creation and organisational communication as a necessary step towards greater social impact. The project's training model addresses this need through practical, accessible learning that participants at different levels can quickly put into use.
The third short-term training activity (LTT-3), titled “Digital Cooperation and Sharing Training Program for Civil Society Organizations”, will take place on 18–24 January 2026 in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The programme aims to strengthen civil society staff's command of digital tools, support cooperation between organisations and encourage a practical approach to digital transformation.
During the five-day training, participants will undertake intensive practical work using tools such as Google Drive, Docs, Forms, Trello, Canva and Zoom. Daily sessions will cover collaborative document editing, task sharing, rapid content creation for social media, short-video production, safe internet use and basic digital security measures. The programme will also include interactive sessions exploring successful examples of digital transformation, sharing organisations' good practices and developing joint project ideas with participants from different countries.
By the end of the training, each participant will have prepared a three-month digital transformation roadmap tailored to their organisation's needs. This process is intended to help NGOs, particularly those working with limited budgets, become more visible, organised and effective online. Participants will receive a Youthpass certificate upon completing the training.
ANKA Future and Innovation Association will select 2 (two) participants for this activity. Applications are open to young professionals over the age of 18 who actively work or volunteer in an NGO, are interested in digital tools and online collaboration, and are open to an international learning environment. The programme will be delivered in English.
