Narratives of Peace (Digital Storytelling) Malta
Narratives of Peace: Innovating Conflict Resolution through Digital Storytelling is a youth worker mobility programme supported through Erasmus+ and funded by the Maltese National Agency.
Narratives of Peace
The project offers a training programme that connects digital storytelling with a culture of peace, helping people working in the youth field use this tool with greater focus and impact.
The project is coordinated by the International Alliance for Integration and Sustainability, based in Malta.
The project runs from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2027. Its total budget is €31,110. The partnership brings together organizations from Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine.
The project focuses on helping youth workers create powerful, meaningful stories using digital tools. Participants will receive practical training in scriptwriting, video and audio editing, and digital production techniques, while developing an applied understanding of intercultural communication, empathy, conflict resolution and mediation.
One training activity will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the other in Malta . The stories produced will be shared on an international platform at the end of the project.
As ANKA Future and Innovation Association, we actively participate in the project as a partner organization from Türkiye. We do not take part in every stage, from selecting and preparing youth workers to bringing them together with international teams. Our field experience, knowledge of digital production and strong ties with young people may provide a basis for a concrete contribution to this project.
This long-term partnership shows how digital storytelling can serve both as a means of expression and as a tool for peace in youth work. We will share updates on progress and opportunities to get involved.
